THE VIOLET HOUR

I’m gonna call to complain about the weather
When it’s light and when it starts to shower
You’ll be here sleeping through the sunrise
But you’ll be there with me in the violet hour

I’m gonna write to tell of my adventures
Oceans crossed and battles on the ground
I’ll say your name when they ask me where I came from
And I’ll speak the same when they wonder where I’m bound

I’m gonna wait ’til the day you come to find me
I’ll know then you understand your power
I want the woman that you are and that you hope to be
And I am the man to meet you there in the violet hour
